Ms. Lim Sian Choo joined the Bumitama Agri Ltd Group in 2011 as the Group Head of Corporate Secretarial Services and Corporate Social Responsibility. Since 2013, she has been actively working together with stakeholders, inclusive of the RSPO on various initiatives. In 2014 (to end of 2017) she joined and contributed to the RSPO Emission Reduction Working Group as the alternate for the Indonesian growers and since then had an active member of the following working group and task force; Complaints Panel (joined in 2016 and made co-chair in 2017), Human Rights Working Group (2016), Peatland Working Group (2017), Task Force for RSPO P&C (2017) and has been participating in numerous workshops organized by organization and countries, to share on progress of Bumitama’s sustainability journey and contribute ideas. Ms. Lim Sian Choo started her career in 1982, and as a chartered accountant had been involved in the accounts and finance departments of various businesses. She joined the Hong Leong Group of Malaysia in 1991, where she held various appointments as Operations Manager and Group Financial Controller, before joining Bumitama in 2011. In January 2009, Ms. Lim Sian Choo was also appointed as a non-executive director and a member of the Audit Committee of Southern Steel Berhad. She stepped down from both of these positions at the end of 2009. Ms. Lim Sian Choo obtained her Bachelor of Commerce and Administration degree in 1981 from Victoria University, Wellington, New Zealand. She is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
