Daniel Salter joined Tesco in 2016 and is responsible for leading the development and implementation of Tesco’s zero deforestation agenda, which covers Tesco’s sourcing of palm oil, soy, timber products and Brazilian beef. Daniel is the chair of the Retail Palm Oil Transparency Coalition. Prior to Tesco, Daniel has a range of cross-sectorial experience including roles in food manufacturing, the United Nations (UN FAO) and Deutsche Bank.
