Tracey Gazibara has served as Vice President of Development and Marketing of Cheyenne Mountain Zoo for the past eight years and has worked for the organization for 17 years. She joined the Zoo’s sustainable palm oil team eight years ago and has travelled to Indonesia and Malaysia six times to research the palm oil crisis. The Zoo’s sustainable palm oil team works to build awareness with the 780,000 guests that visit the Zoo each year, informing them about the threat to orangutans and other wildlife from non-sustainable palm oil production. The team has created a sustainable palm oil shopping app for the United States and Canada that currently has more than 65,000 downloads. Tracey is also a member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) Palm Oil Task Force, representing more than 230 accredited zoos and aquariums, and she played a role in the development of the official sustainable palm oil position statement of the AZA.
