A tropical agronomist by training, Olivier Tichit has worked in South-East Asia for the past twenty-five years. He is the Commercial Director of the Indonesian subsidiaries of SIPEF, a Belgian plantations group active in oil palm, rubber, tea and bananas, and present in Côte d’Ivoire, Papua New-Guinea and Indonesia. One of the operations under his control is a forest restoration project covering 12’656ha in Indonesia. Olivier represents Papua New Guinea oil palm growers at the Board of the RSPO, and is very active in the RSPO.
